Good Comeback For Mayol At Flyweight

Pacifico, Yokohama, Japan - The comeback fight of Rodel "Batang Mandaue" Mayol went very well as he was able to KO Masatsugu Okada in the 2:02 of the 1st round of their supposedly 8-round fight.

The September 18 fight was Mayol's first fight since he lost to Eagle Kyowa for the WBC Minimumweight Title last May. This was also the first time for Mayol to fight at the flyweight division.

Mayol improves to 23-1 (18KOs) as Okada 8-8-3 (3KOs).

Talented Upstart Make Waves In Manila

Joe Cantada Sports Center, Taguig, Manila, Philippines - 18yrs-old super bantamweight phenom Bernabe "The Real Deal" Concepcion won against Sonny Gonzales via a 10-round Unanimous Decision, September 17th.

The scores went: Salvador Lopez 96-94, Epi Almeda 98-92, Manuel Feliciano 97-93 - all in favor of Concepcion.

Concepcion is now 19-1-1 (11KOs) while Gonzales is now 3-4 (1KO).

Cliff Smart Wins In Danao City

Danao Civic Center, Danao City, Philippines - 21yrs.-old Robert “Cliff Smart“ Allanic defeated Rolly Mandahinog in their 10-round super flyweight fight last September 9. Allanic TKO’ed Mandahinog in the 8th round.

Allanic improved to 14-1 (6KOs) while Mandahinog dropped to 4-13-2 (1KO).

Rey Labao KO's Nigerian Amateur Champ

Mandaluyong City Gym, Mandaluyong City, Philippines - Bright featherweight upstart, Rey Labao, has shown more of his stuff by defeating Bright Isaiah Sunday, August 26th. Labao KO'ed Sunday on the 4th round of their 10-round bout. Referee Ferdinand Estrella stopped the fight at the 2:03 mark in the 4th.

Sunday is a former Nigerian amateur boxing champ who recently turned pro.

Labao improved his record to 12-0 (8 KOs). On the other hand, this was supposed to be Sunday's first fight as a professional (0-1) but some records show that now has a 7-1 (3 KOs) record.
